Loss and Change

This year has been a difficult year for TACT. There have been two bereavements which have been significant for TACT. Ken Evans who was not only a trainer at TACT but also involved with TACT’s growth and development passed away in July at his home in France. Ken was a hugely respected member of the therapy community and much loved by people involved in TACT, he will be missed greatly.

Ken’s death followed the death of Karen’s daughter, Eve Mountain,  at Christmas.  Eve was always supportive of the work and training at TACT and was proud of what we stood for. Eve was a police officer in child protection and so understood the significance of having trained child counsellors available to help children with emotional difficulties and traumas.

Even though it has been and still is difficult, staff and trainees at TACT know that both Ken and Eve would want the work and training in TACT not only to continue but grow as well. As such we have a number of short courses planned for the coming year, a new supervision training to commence in 2016 as well as two other ventures that are in the pipeline. We will let you know as soon as we set the dates.
