Four Progressive Worskshops In Action Techniques

These workshops are aimed at Psychotherapists, Counsellors and/or other professionals who work therapeutically with individuals and groups (adults or children). It is focused towards those who wish to enhance, or gain, more skills in using creative, dramatic and theatre based interventions in their therapeutic practise.
The Theoretical and Philosophical underpinning for the course will be firmly placed within the values, beliefs and theories of Gestalt Psychotherapy.

 

What Will The workshops Cover?


The course will integrate structures and techniques from Drama therapy, Psychodrama, Socio drama, Gestalt Therapy, Integrative psychotherapy, Theatre of the Oppressed and Playback Theatre, and also include practises inherent in Theatre and Drama making.
The workshops are experientially based, with supporting theoretical components, and are Integrative in terms of their philosophy.

 

Indicative Content  (illustrative examples)


WORKSHOP 1-The Embodied Self. Image Theatre and Sculpting. EPR. Character and Method Acting. Stanislavski and Brecht.

 

WORKSHOP 2-The Revealing Self. Projective Techniques: Fairy Tales/Myth and Legend/Photography/ Play-texts.

 

WORKSHOP 3-Self in Action. Role and Role Methodology.A Population of Selves. Sub-personalities.

 

WORKSHOP 4- Self in Relation. Psychodrama, Sociodrama, Theatre of the Oppressed.

 

Fees


Each workshop will take place over a weekend at TACT.
Cost: £125 per workshop.

There is a reduction of 10% if you book for all four simultaneously
